Caesar was just stabbed and now we feel victorious. Everyone is trying to decide what to do. A couple things are suggested to do, such as run the streets yelling Liberty! Freedom! Tyranny is dead! Brutus and I go to the platform. Brutus is trying to tell everyone that nobody else will be harmed and Caesar only had to be killed because he was too ambitious.
Brutus tells Publius to leave so that if the people try to storm the conspirators he will not be harmed. Brutus and I agree that death was a gift because a mans life that is shortened by twenty years is twenty years they do not have to spend fearing death. Mark Antony comes in after he is assured he will not be harmed and him Brutus and I all talk and Antony shakes our hands. I was not sure if I should consider him a reliable friend or not. Brutus wants to explain to the people the reasons for killing Caesar and then let Antony speak after him and I do not like this plan but Brutus goes with it anyway.
